TIME 100 Gala 2015

The annual TIME 100 Gala was held in New York this week, and there were some stars that shined and some that seemed a bit dull.

Let's start out with the stars whe missed the mark.

Link

Emma Watson arrived in a black top and tailored pants paired with a sash draped at the waist, which was created by Christian Dior.  She completed her look with a Rauwolf clutch, Repossi jewels, and Rupert Sanderson heels.  Emma is almost always on my best dressed list, but this lok was not cutting it for me.  I think the waist sash was a little too much for her.  If she had just worn the top and trousers, she would have looked simple, but sophisticated.

Link

Julianne Moore wore a black minidress with a cape sleeve and paired it with a metallic clutch and peep-toe heels.  I don't like Julianne's choice, because it doesn't seem to fit her very well.  The excess of black makes her look very short and draws attention away from her face.  I lookes to me like the dress is wearing her.

Link

Julianna Margulies arrived in a black Michael Kors tuxedo-style dress.  When I first saw her outfit, I thought it was a pantsuit gone wrong.  The way it is tailored makes it look like she has gigantic pant legs!  Definitely my least favorite of the night.

Now, let's move on the the best dressed stars of the night.

Link

Lindsey Vonn looked gorgeous in a fitted white Christian Siriano dress and Henri Bendel clutch and jewelry.  She kept her locks in a tousled updo and opted for red lips.  Her makeup goes perfectly with the dress.  Not too much, and not too little.  The only thing I didn't like was the watch.  I think a simple bracelet would have looked much better with the dress.

 Link

Ballerina, Misty Copeland, wore a black full skirt and a cutout crop top.  She kept her locks tied up into a ballerina bun, respectively.  Misty looks absolutely gorgeous in this outfit!  I think it would have looked better with a different necklace, but it is one of my favorite looks of the night.

My favorite look of the night was...

Under the sea! Laverne Cox channeled her inner mermaid in an aqua gown at the Time 100 Gala on April 21.

Laverne Cox in her shimmering aqua Marc Bouwer dress, paired with a bangle and black clutch.  I absolutely love the color of the dress, and wouldn't change a thing about her outfit!

Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, and Shay Mitchell: ABC's Upfront Event 2015

Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, and Shay Mitchell attended ABC's upfront event April 14th at SIR Stage 37 in New York City.

 Link

The 'Pretty Little Liars' stars coordinated their black and white outfits for the night.

Ashley Benson A.L.C. Spring 2015 white jumpsuit with side cutouts, aqua earrings, and metallic heels.  I'm not too crazy about the creases, and I think a statement necklace would have dressed up the plain white jumpsuit a little more.

Troian Bellisario wore a black mini-dress that featured a twirl skirt and a deep plunge, and she paired the dress with a long pendant necklace and pattern pumps.  Troian looks beautiful, but the outfit could have used better styling.  The dress would have looked great with colored pumps and a more noticeable necklace.  I'm loving Troian's hair and makeup.  A natural beauty.

Lucy Hale wore a Elizabeth and James ruffled top and pencil skirt and paired it with strapped sandals and drop earrings.  The skirt and top perfectly suit her body and is the perfect length for her.  I absolutely love Lucy's new lob haircut.  It suits her so much better than her long hair.

Shay Mitchell wore AQ/AQ plunge bodysuit and Sass & Bide trousers paired with a belt.  She opted for a smokey eye look with tousled locks.  Shay looked beautiful in this black and white ensemble, but the pant legs were too long making it look ill-fitting.  Other than the pant legs, she is stunning, as usual.

All of the girls looked stunning, but Lucy Hale stood out to me the most.  She did the least and looked the best.  The outfit was so simple, but chic at the same time.  Shay Mitchell has to be a close second.

Blake Lively: Age of Adaline Press Tour

Blake Lively, also a new mother, stunned in a bright yellow dress while at the latest stop on the Age of Adaline press tour, in which she stars.

 Link

Blake wore a David Koma dress, Sophia Webster platform shoes, Jennifer Meyer earrings, and an Ofira ring.  The yellow goes perfectly with her blonde, tousled waves.  I'm absolutely in love with the shoes!  She looks perfect from head to toe.  Once again, Blake Lively can do no wrong.

Do you like Blake's choice?  Let me know in the comments!

Mila Kunis: Burberry "London in Los Angeles"

New mom, Mila Kunis, attended Burberry's "London in Los Angeles" event last night and looked flawless doing so.

Link

Mila ditched the dress and wore a tailored white shirt, dark denim jeans, Gemfields diamonds, and nude heels.  She looked sophisticated, but at the same time, comfortable.  Motherhood has definitely changed her style, but the new mother glow suits her well.

What do you think about Mila's look from last night?  Let me know in the comments!

Avengers: Age of Ultron LA Premiere

Avengers: Age of Ultron premiered on Monday, April 13, in LA with all of the A-list stars in attendance.  Here are some of the looks from the night.

 Link

Scarlett Johansson, who plays Black Widow, arrived in a black Stella McCartney dress, Jerome C. Rousseau shoes, a Roger Vivier bag, and Ared Menzilcian jewels.  I'm not too crazy about the front of the dress.  I think if the dress was one single length, it would look better.  Black shoes would have pulled the look together better, also.  I love the shade of lipstick she has on, though!  It goes perfect with the dress.

Link

Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch, wore a two-piece Galvan dress, which featured a high-waisted skirt and thigh-high slit, Manolo Blahnik shoes, and a Sidney Garber necklace.  Elizabeth looks stunning in this ensemble.  I'm not crazy about the shoes, but the dress is gorgeous and the necklace fits perfectly along the neckline of the top.  Her beautiful lob hairstyle is definitely an inspiration.

Link

Colbie Smulders wore a Bibhu Mohapatra dress and Kimberly McDonald jewels.  It seems as though Elizabeth Olsen and Colbie found inspiration in the same place, both wearing white and blue dresses.  Again, I don't think the shoes were the best choice for this dress.  It was not my favorite look of the night, but she looks beautiful none the less.

 Link

Linda Cardellini wore a a Yanina Couture dress to the premiere.  This has to be one of my favorite looks among the women on Monday night.  A lot of people are saying they hate this look because you can see through the skirt, but that's why I love it!  A different belt might have worked better, but I adore this dress, and Linda looks beautiful.

And for your viewing pleasure, the Avengers men.

Link  Link

Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, both looked their best at the premiere.  I was always hoping Chris would cut his long hair, and I'm so glad he did!  He looks so much better with short hair.  Elsa is one lucky lady!

Link    Link

Jermey Renner and Chris Evans were swoon-worthy in their own right.  They both look like proper gentlemen, which I'm sure they are.

Link

Mark Ruffalo brought his whole, adorable family to the Avengers premiere.  They are definitely one happy family.

Link

I can't go without mentioning Ironman himself, Robery Downey Jr., and his wife.  He didn't forget his signature shades on the red carpet, Monday.

And last, but certainly not least, the one and only, Stan Lee.

Link

Stan Lee has got to be the coolest guy around.  Imagine having him as your grandpa.  So many stories to tell and such creative imagination.  Well done, sir.

These were some of my favorite looks from the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere on Monday.  We should expect nothing less from them.  They are superheroes after all.

Do you agree with my choices?  Who do you think was best dressed at the premiere?  Let me know in the comments!

Emma Watson: Best Fashion Moments

I recently read an article on Elle.com that was titled, "36 Times Emma Watson's Style Was Flawless", in honor of her 25th birthday today.  Emma Watson has so much class and style, and she seems wise beyond her years.  I admire her for all of her advocating for women's rights and feminism.  In honor of Emma Watson and her incredible style, here are my five favorite looks from the article.

Leaving the Late Show with David Letterman in New York wearing Tom Ford wedges.

Emma wore this look to the Late Show with David Letterman in 2012 and paired it with Tom Ford wedges.  I love how it is so simple, but stunning.  I would have loved to have seen her wear a black pantsuit instead, but you can hardly tell the difference.  The white jacket adds the perfect amount of contrast to the look and really makes her stand out.  With the black shirt and pants, The white doesn't wash out her skin as much.  The wedges look perfect, and I love her hair.  Growing out hair can go through awkward phases, but not for Emma!

At the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premiere in London wearing Rafael Lopez.

Emma wore this black Rafael Lopez dress to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows premiere in 2010.  When I first saw this photo, I thought she was Ginnifer Goodwin!  They both had the same hairstyle and similar facial features!  I love how the dress is form fitting to the hips and feathery at the bottom for a little flare.  The lace pattern is also gorgeous.  I admired Emma's bravery so much when she got her pixie haircut.  She wasn't able to change her hair for years due to the films, so when she could, she changed it in the most dramatic way possible and looked flawless doing so.

In a Saint Laurent suit, Christian Louboutin heels, Reese Hudson clutch, and Sabine G rings while visiting the Late Show With David Letterman in New York.

No one can pull off a suit better than Emma.  She paired this Saint Laurent suit with Christian Louboutin heels, Reese Hudson clutch, and Sabine G rings while arriving at the Late Show with David Letterman in 2014.  I would have loved to see her in a more form fitting jacket, but she looks gorgeous either way.  The heels go so well with the suit and I love her classic makeup look.

My all time favorite look from Emma Watson?

In a Dior Couture dress and pants with Roger Vivier shoes and Dior earrings at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles.

At the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards in 2014, Emma wore this stunning Dior Couture dress and pants with Roger Vivier shoes and Dior earrings.  When I was watching the red carpet live, I thought that she was just wearing the dress.  When I saw pictures of her later, I realized that the whole back of the dress was open, and she was wearing pants too!  Who would have ever thought to make a dress like this?  At first, I wasn't sure that I liked it, but every time I see a photo, she looks stunning.  Red is definitely Emma's color.

MTV Movie Awards 2015

At this year's MTV Movie Awards, there were some stars that looked absolutely gorgeous, and some that looked totally wacky.  If you haven't seen the looks from the awards, look no further.  Here is your guide to the 'blue' carpet.

Let's start out with the bad.

 Link

Victoria Justice is amazing, and I really want to say that I love this look, but she looks like she belongs in the 60's with the rest of the go-go dancers.  Victoria's Versace dress was not too awful for me, but her hair totally threw off the whole look, making me feel like she was in the wrong decade.  Sunday night, she was not eye candy.

 Link

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Shailene Woodley, but this outfit looks like a mess.  There are only a certain number of patterns that work together, and these are not any of those patterns.  I love the pants, but I think that a solid color top would have look so much better!  I also would have liked to see her with a more subtle lip color, such as light pink or nude.  I'm loving the shoes and her hair, though!  I thought she could do no wrong, but this time, I'm afraid she has.

And last, but not least, the worst of the worst was...

Bai Ling attended the MTV Movie Awards 2015 wearing a dragon dress.

Bai Ling. I'm not quite sure what to say about Bai Ling's choice of outfit.  It was definitely unique, to say the least.  If she was going for a dragon goddess look, she nailed it.  Maybe a nod to the new season of Game of Thrones', which also aired Sunday night?  This is almost as crazy as Bjork's 2001 Oscars swan dress.  The only question this outfit leaves me asking is, how did she sit down?

Now, let's talk about the best looks of the night!

 Link

Cara Delevingne looked stunning in a dark lilac Reem Acra mini dress and Saint Laurent heeled sandals.  She kept her hair simple and slicked back in a ponytail and opted for a smokey eye look.  Cara never fails to stun on the red carpet.  It must be all the connections she has in the modeling industry, and, of course, her amazing eyebrows.

The host herself, Amy Schumer, was among the best dressed on the 'blue' carpet.  She donned a black and white Balmain dress and black peep toe heels.  The dress reminded me of the UK flag, but it was beautiful none the less.  Honestly, I didn't expect to see her show up in any outfit this amazing.  Definitely exceeded my expectations!

Last, but not least, the best dressed at the MTV Movie Awards 2015 was...

       Link  Link

Scarlett Johansson!!  Scarlett look drop dead gorgeous in this pink Zuhair Murad jumpsuit.  She paired this with blue and pink heeled sandals, a blue clutch, and rose gold drop earrings.  The light blue clutch and pink jumpsuit go together perfectly!  I absolutely love the contrast the clutch brings.  I'm also loving the drop earrings.  With Scarlett's short hair, the earrings are shown off perfectly.  Her pink lips, rose cheek, and gold eyeshadow tie the whole look together.  She outshined the rest of the Avengers on stage Sunday night.  I love everything about this look!  Scarlett Johansson was, hands down, the best dressed of the night.

Do you agree with my choices?  Who do you think was the best dressed at the MTV Movie Awards?  Let me know in the comments!
